After years of staying consistent with my wellness routine, I recently received an unexpected but encouraging reminder: staying committed pays off, sometimes in surprising ways.


My latest InBody scan showed I scored higher than a healthy 26-year-old (shoutout to my marketing lead, Elton!) But more than the numbers, what truly matters is this: energy, clarity, and vitality are within reach at any age. And that’s something we all deserve.


In this week’s newsletter, I’m sharing a personal reflection on why health is no longer just a lifestyle choice, but it’s our leadership fuel, our creative engine, and the foundation for showing up fully in all parts of life.


WHY Your Health is Non-Negotiable

Whether you're leading a team, parenting, or just getting through your day, your physical and mental energy determines how you show up.

2️⃣ Role Modeling Our Commitment to What Matters

Role Modeling is crucial in leadership. When you show up in small, steady ways even when it’s hard or inconvenient, it tells everyone by actions your commitment. If health matters, do it!

3️⃣ Age Is Not A Limitation

Feeling strong, clear, and focused isn’t reserved for the young. With intention and care, we can thrive at any stage of life. It is a story you tell your team. 


WHAT You Can Focus On

Small, sustainable shifts lead to lasting results. Here’s where to begin:

🍲 Fuel with Purpose, Instead of Restriction

Focus on nourishment over deprivation. You don’t need to cut out your favourite dishes, just practice mindful eating, balanced portions, and intentional choices that fuel both mind and body.

🧘 Move in Ways That Fit Your Life

Exercise doesn’t have to be intense or time-consuming to be effective. The key is consistency. Find movement that feels good, whether it’s a walk around the block, stretching in the morning, or weekend hikes. Even the littlest movement matters. 

💤 Rest Like You Mean It

Deep, quality sleep restores your energy, sharpens decision-making, and protects your    long-term health. Set boundaries around your rest and treat it as a non-negotiable.


HOW to Start (or Restart) Your Wellness Journey

Don’t wait for the perfect time. Start where you are:

1️⃣ Anchor to the Small Wins

A 10-minute walk today. A healthier lunch tomorrow. These tiny-habits build the momentum you need. The magic is in showing up consistently, not perfectly.

2️⃣ Measure What Matters to You

Track your energy, strength, or sleep, not just weight or steps. Tools like reflective journaling can help you stay aligned with your goals without getting obsessed with numbers and figures.

3️⃣ Lean on Your Circle

Wellness thrives in community. Find a friend, team, or mentor to keep you motivated, accountable, and inspired. Have a companion whenever you go on those walks, runs, hikes, and anything that can keep you moving. You don’t have to do this alone, and you’ll go further with support.


Your well-being isn’t a side project, nor a target. Your well-being is your day to day life. So be kind to your body, stay curious about what makes you feel alive, and give yourself the permission to evolve, one step at a time.
