Let's brew our espresso for an insightful shot!
Being Real is the New Strong: What Working Moms Really Need?
đž Motherhood is full of paradoxes.
We love our children deeplyâbut we miss our independence.
We want to give them everythingâbut feel guilty when we take time for ourselves.
WHY Real Conversations Matter for Working Moms
Too often, conversations among moms can slip into comparisons â about whose kid is doing what, whose school choice is best, or whose parenting style is âright.â (can be unconscious, at times)
đ€đ»But what we really need isn't advice nor judgment. We need connection.
đđ»We need spaces where itâs safe to say, âIâm trying my best, and some days, that doesnât feel like enough.â
đ€Ł We need to laugh â not because everythingâs perfect, but because we realize weâre not alone.
WHAT Did We Talk About
We didnât come with scripts. We didnât pretend to have all the answers.
Instead, we opened up about:
- The guilt that sneaks in when work pulls us away from our kids
- The struggle of maintaining our identity beyond motherhood
- The daily effort of trying to do whatâs âright,â even when itâs unclear what that is
And then, something beautiful happened.
We laughed. Not the polite, surface-level laughter â but the kind that bubbles up when you feel truly seen.
The kind that says, âYou too? I thought it was just me.â
The kind that isnât about being funny â itâs about being free.
â€ïžAt that moment, we realized: this is the conversation so many moms are longing for.
