Our busy summer ramps up now!

Dear praying friends,

Thank you for praying for us during our short trip to England to see friends and our visit to the Northumbria Community. We had a wonderful visit, saw some amazing things, and were able to spend some time quietly reflecting and praying. That time in quiet reflection was extremely valuable- taking time to listen to the voice of God and rest in him before a very busy season starts.

Some of you have been praying about the corner space for us - thank you so much for your prayers. After working hard on the contract, we had a few final days to make a decision. On the same day, an existing partner communicated some of their new plans, and a future partner shared that they were not ready to commit at the level we had hoped. With the loss of regular and future income, we felt it best not to take on the significant new expenses and grow more in our existing space. This is ok - since our long term dream is to have our own space where we could combine some of our housing , gallery, church service, event, office, and media production space. These are currently being met by rentals across the city, and combining them long-term would make a lot of sense.

Buying something that big would be a huge fundraising lift for us, so please pray as we begin to sort search for the right space and cast vision over the next several years.

Another prayer request is for our busy short-term team season. A team from Crown College was supposed to join us today, but their flight was overbooked and they won’t be arriving until tomorrow. Pray for them as they adjust to new plans - that can sometimes be really disorienting (for them and us!)

Some other prayer requests:

  1. We open an exhibit tomorrow night, Here is a quick preview! Pray for our opening and for the exhibit as it runs for the next month.
  2. Pray for our team! Between now and July 5 we will have teams on the ground for 29 days. Pray for health, strength, and great opportunities to connect with people on the teams and in our community!
  3. Thanks for praying for Elissa's health. She has had some good weeks. Pray for continued improvement.

Thanks for your prayers - please let us know how we can pray for you!

Blessings,

mike
