The joy (and sadness) of launching!

Dear praying friends,
One of the most exciting parts of our job with Envision is the opportunity to be involved with training and developing the next generation of mission leaders.
Recently, the Alliance held several training events and it was exciting for us (at Envision Berlin) to hear about how many people who had been at our site were participating in these events.
People who had interned at our site, trying to determine whether God was calling them into long-term work, had decided to continue their pursuit of full-time work with the Alliance. Their experiences here were part of confirming God’s call on their life!
This week, we are saying goodbye to a family that has been a part of our Envision site for almost 2 years. Justin and Brittany Siemens came to our site after spending several years working with Envision Taiwan. They had hoped to launch a new site in Ukraine, but Russia’s invasion changed all of that, and they came to our site in 2022. They have been amazing teammates, and we are excited about the new Envision site they will launch in Manchester, England, later this year. If you can see them as they visit churches in the United States over the next several months - please be sure to connect with them!
We had a commissioning service for them last Friday, and people contributed video greetings from around the world - more than 30 minutes worth of memories and blessings to send them on their way. We would love it if you would spend a few minutes this morning praying for their coming days of travel and the adjustments in front of them (and their two daughters!)
We are going to miss them a lot! They have contributed in countless ways to helping us become the site that we are. Pray for us as we adjust to having less staff, as well.
Here are some other prayer requests:
- We are less than 1 month from book release! Please pray for the closing details.
- Our son Caleb is looking for an intern position for his studies in Social Work. He has a couple of interviews in the coming week - and could end up having a choice between three very good options. Pray for him as he makes a decision!
- Joshua will be coming home this weekend after a month of studying away. Pray for him as he reenters the OJT part of his apprenticeship.
- Our newest intern is here, and is staying at our apartment. She jumped right into language school, 5 days after landing! Pray for her as she adjusts and learns.
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Blessings,
mike
