Hi praying friends,

Thanksgiving rates high on my list of favorite holidays. I have so many fond Thanksgiving memories. The American holiday of Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Germany, but we try to find ways to still observe it and it tends to be a great way to make connections with our German neighbors. This year, on Saturday, we are doing a Pie Social as Envision Berlin and inviting people to join us. We have to keep explaining - it's like Coffee and Cake (a German tradition!) - just with pie. Can you pray for us as we have that event on Saturday?

Thanksgiving always makes me reflect on how good I actually am at being thankful. It seems that my days get so full, I scurry from event to event, meeting to meeting, activity to activity - get my workout in, practice my guitar, and collapse into bed. Lately, I have been trying to take the first few minutes I am in bed to reflect on my day - replaying the events in my mind, taking time to thank God for the things that went well and ask him for help in doing better in the areas I did not do well in. Often, I find that I was less grateful in the moment of things occurring than I should have been. I am trying to get better at being thankful! How about you? How do you take time to be thankful on days not called "Thanksgiving"?

Speaking of thanks - Thank you! to those of you who have supported our Kickstarter campaign for Ira's book, Tulips and Ashes. We have 38 supporters so far, and the project is 65% funded - just a little more than 1 week in. Some prayer requests for the week:

1. Pray for our Pie Social!
2. Pray for an appointment we have with one of our Interns to register his move to Berlin.
3. Pray for several projects we are working on.
4. We have a team arriving on Sunday, pray for us as we spend the 10 days following their arrival ministering with them and showing them Berlin.
5. It is getting dark and cold in Berlin. Pray for those on our team who struggle with the greatly reduced daylight.
