Prayers and Petitions with Thanksgiving
Aug 16, 2023 6:17 am
Hi praying friends!
On the 3rd Wednesday of the month people from the various C&MA ministries in Berlin come together for a beautiful prayer time. International Workers working with Germans, Spanish, and Arabic people in Berlin as well as leaders from the Chinese Alliance Church and people from our Envision team all gather at a location close to the Berlin's central train station to share about and pray for our ministries.
This month I am leading and will be sharing from Philippians 4:6, where we read: "Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
Here are some of the things that I am thankful for as summer comes to a close:
- We have had some great teams, which have allowed us to make strong connections with ministries in Berlin and with churches in the US.
- Our interns have been really great!
- We got to see our daughter!
- Caleb is in a new apartment that he really likes.
- We have made contact with another group planting churches in the part of town we are in, and they have started praying with us.
- Our artist events have started drawing artists - which is great! The community of artists is something we really dream of having. Some of them have also started attending our house church.
Here are some of my prayer requests:
- We have several interns leaving in the coming 2-4 weeks, and we will miss them! Pray for them as they say good-byes, hand off ministries, and transition back to the US.
- With team schedules slowing down, pray that I can get my podcast back up!
- We have new interns coming in September! Pray for them as they say good-byes, hand off ministries, and transition to Berlin!
- Pray for us as we host some visits from other Envision sites and people from the National Office in the coming couple of months.
- Pray for us as summer comes to a close and our people from our house church are back from vacation! We are looking forward to catching up with them.
Blessings,
mike
