Private photos & files exposed by popular Android SMS texting app

If you or someone you know is an Android user and uses the app GoSMSPro for texting, your private photos and files may be in danger. The makers of this software were made aware in August that their software was unsafe, but have yet to correct the problem. GoSMSPro has over 100 million active users.
Trustwave, a company dedicated to cybersecurity and threat detection, found the problem and alerted the makers of GoSMSPro three months ago. The bug in the software means that text recipients on other devices may have the ability to scroll through previous photos and files that the user has sent to other recipients. This obviously has severe privacy implications for GoSMSPro users.
Following their own policy, after 90 days with no response from GoSMSPro, Trustwave made the news of the vulnerability to the public this morning. The problem has yet to be resolved, so current users of the software are at risk. If you, a friend, or family member use this software, you are strongly urged to delete it from your device.
