Bye to 2020
2020 has been an interesting year to say the least. From my personal experience and for the company it’s had it’s share of good and bad as a result of the crazy times. The pandemic restrictions delayed our growth plan about a year (bad), but on the upside it allowed us the opportunity to spend some time looking and evaluating our way ahead with a closer scrutiny (good). As a result, we have implemented some great changes and have a solid path carved out as we move into 2021. One such thing is our communication with the project.
I will be honest, social media, videos, newsletters, and article publishing has been an area that we have been somewhat lacking in. Part of the reason has been poor processes on the media, and part has been due to focus simply being on other areas. After a strong look at this, we have agreed to communicate with our base needs to be a top priority. As we have always stated we don’t want to just be your training and target provider, but rather foster a community of like-minded training-focused warriors. Being that we are the ones holding the microphone at the meeting we need to start talking more. And we will. That said I hope to see you also sharing your thoughts, comments, ideas, and experiences with us as well through the various platforms. Let’s build a stronger Project together in 2021!
Training
Unfortunately, as of now, I can’t share any definitive training dates or locations for 2021. While we are certainly working our calendars and trying to determine the schedule the continued restrictions and lockdowns have made it near impossible to solidify a training schedule yet. That said rest assured we are working on it and as soon as the smoke clears, we will get some course dates locked in.
RoadMap
As we continue to build momentum and grow the project, we want to share our intent, progress, and journey along the way with you. Just as importantly we want you to be able to contribute and influence our direction on the way ahead. Introducing the MWP Roadmap. On our roadmap, you can see the current working projects, conceptual considerations, and completed projects. You also can contribute ideas and suggestions as well, which we will in turn discuss, evaluate, and potentially implement as we can into our project growth. These can be anything from training events, product development, or web presence and services. Ultimately if you can think it you can share and suggest it with the project roadmap.
New Website
We are excited to announce to you first that we will be moving to a new server and redesigned website in the first quarter of 2021. We have liked the look and feel of our MWP site, but it has been a bit slow on loading. And, if we are honest it is due a makeover (black and dreary is so 2020). This has been an ongoing effort for about the last 120 days and for the most part the new site is up and running but we are still fine-tuning speed and coding on the back end……along with copying over previous blog articles. Once it is all completed, you’ll have a simpler design and faster loading website that you can access your favorite articles and topics on. Important Note: The site address will stay the same, so although we are changing servers and the site from your perspective everything will still flush out the same.
Pull Pitch Apparel
We are doing away with our PPA (Clothing Brand Site). We are still going to maintain the brand name (as of now) and will still offer some cool swag, but we are going to move it all onto our Modern Warrior Project Shop. This fits with our overarching goal of streamlining and simplifying the project. We want you to be able to grab all your gear and knowledge in as few consolidated locations as feasible.

Coaches
We are going to begin expanding MWP Course Delivery with Certified Coaches. Our initial group of coaches will be handpicked instructors that we work with on various government contracting training efforts (all highly qualified, and skilled trainers). After they have gone through our in-house certification program, they will then be authorized to provide certain MWP courses to the public. This will be an amazing step forward for the project as it will allow us to reach a much larger audience with World Class training from World Class instructors all the while maintaining the high standard demanded by the Modern Warrior Project Training Policy.
Something to consider, at a point in the future (still a way off) we will open the coaching option up to the public. If you are serious about training and dedicated to mastery of tasks it may be something to consider. Please understand it will not be a guaranteed program (i.e. I sign up and go through the steps and get certified) as our standards are high to ensure quality delivery and brand reputation, but I have no doubt that with the right level of dedication and commitment any of you can join our coaching team.
Digital Certificates
This is an awesome platform we recently implemented, and I am genuinely excited to share it with you. Digital Certificates! If you have conducted certificate earning training in the past with Modern Warrior Project or Omega Group Consultants, we will (with time) put you into the system. Likewise, all future training certificates will be put in as well. This allows you a digital copy of your certificate as well as a centralized location to see all your obtained certs. Perhaps best of all is the ability to check a certificate authenticity. This will one stop illegitimate providers from issuing fake certificates, and allow employers, etc. to easily verify your training credentials with us. More to follow on this as we put all the previously conducted training into the system.
While there are even more changes in the works I think that’s a good start to share with you for now. I hope every one of you has a great and successful New Year and look forward to continuing to forge our relationship together!
