Holiday message, new offering, & November 2025 Events

Dear MMHCA Members,

As we pause for Thanksgiving and reflect in gratitude, we want to thank you—our members across Michigan—for your continued support. Your membership directly funds our lobbying efforts, helping us protect and advocate for the counseling profession. More than that, your presence in MMHCA strengthens our shared mission to bring healing and hope within our communities.

This year’s news cycle and social media landscape have been intense, and many of us are feeling the weight of the world as we support others through challenging times. In the midst of this, we encourage you to also hold space for yourselves. Rest, renewal, and self-compassion are not luxuries—they’re essential for sustaining the care we offer others.

MMHCA is here to support you, and we welcome your involvement in whatever way fits your life. Whether you’re interested in offering trainings, attending board meetings, or simply staying connected, your engagement is always valued.

We hope this holiday season brings you moments of peace, joy, and meaningful connection.

Following are MMHCA exclusive member events for November 2025 including a new offering. Please join us!

Holiday Support Group

Gearing up for the holidays can be a challenge for many people, including therapists. Not only are we supporting our clients through their holiday issues - we may find ourselves impacted with our own issues, both personal and professional. This group will be structured to support therapists weekly through early January. You are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings each Wednesday, starting 11/12/25 at 8am. Board member Lauri Rowe will be leading this group. Lauri is in private practice and has 40 years of experience. Participants must be a MMHCA member and register in advance for this group here. Welcome to this new group!
