Dear MMHCA Members,

We have three Important Items for you:

✯ Legal Dispute ✯

We have been informed by our legal counsel that the court has ruled after the most recent election that we officially are the Board of the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association (MMHCA). The judge has made his ruling and the case is closed. We are only awaiting the final order and instructions.

We want to thank you, our members, for your support during this difficult time. We would not have been able to make it through these past 18 months without your support. We are truly grateful!

✯ Testimony before the Michigan House ✯

This morning (June 25) our Board Members Carol Berger and Dr. Stephanie Burns testified regarding the Counseling Compact before the Michigan House Health Policy Committee. They did an outstanding job and the sponsoring house member made it clear that he will be seeking our input as this moves forward. Please stay tuned!
