THE DEBOER GROUP: LEADING MMHCA FORWARD

Addressing Today's Challenges, Not Yesterday's Victories

2019 was an important victory for Michigan LPCs. But it's 2025 now, and we are facing new challenges that require action:

  • Insurance claw-backs threatening your practice revenue
  • Medicaid reimbursement issues affecting client access
  • Cross-profession collaboration to strengthen our collective voice
  • Counseling Compact decisions that will impact practice mobility
  • Corporate consolidation and AI influences in mental health
  • Provide on-demand, low cost implicit bias training

The DeBoer Group is tackling these issues today - through active partnerships with NASW-Michigan, MDHHS and insurance companies, legislative advocacy with our lobbyists, and regular transparent communication with members.

Why Your Vote Matters

The DeBoer Group represents collaborative, transparent leadership that puts members first. We believe MMHCA belongs to its members, not individual leaders. Our team combines experience with fresh perspectives to create an organization that listens, responds, and advocates effectively.

We've demonstrated our commitment through concrete actions over the past 18 months, and we're ready to continue this vital work. With your support, we'll build a MMHCA that truly serves as the professional home every Michigan counselor deserves.

Vote for progress, not promises. Vote DeBoer Group (left side of ballot.)
