What is the Changemaker Program?

Think of it as a virtual soft play group of parents coming together to navigate the future of work (with kids). 🚼📊✨️ Just another day in my life! 

Because I know that showing up (with your kids) in corporate settings is an unconventional but HIGHLY EFFECTIVE way to invest in yourself, access professional development, grow your network and make steady progress towards your personal and professional goals...all with the added benefit of creating a social impact.

Since 2016 (when I started bringing my babies into business settings), the results of this have included:

• meeting future clients and becoming a trusted advisor
• participating in startup and accelerator programs
• speaking to new audiences IRL and on virtual stages about flexible and remote work with kids
• connecting with collaborators who wanted to host my parent-friendly business meetups in their spaces
• support from corporate partners who wanted to sponsor and elevate my work
• getting invited to sit at the same tables and speak with government and industry leaders
• being nominated for the 32nd annual Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the category of 'Social Change: National Impact' in 2024

All while raising three kids under the age of eight, doing freelance marketing communications work, showing up as I am and being unapologetic about it.

But I'm only one person (four if you include the kids) and if these are the results I've had, imagine what we could do on a bigger scale?

The ripple effect and impact you will create in your life, your family, your work, your community? The potential for building a legacy and generational change is there.

APPLICATIONS OPEN: CHANGEMAKER PROGRAM 2024

For the first time ever in an online group setting and mini mastermind, I'm going to share how I started showing up, speaking up, creating safe spaces and advocating for change to form Mixing Babies And Business™.

Over the coming weeks, I'm running a small virtual Beta Group experience for parents of newborn, pre-school and school age kids.

Before I launch the Changemaker Program more widely, I want to select a group of self-led individuals to participate in this live round, implement their learnings...and CREATE AN IMPACT!

You will receive access to personalized advice, practical and inspiring training and ready-to-use templates and resources, alongside a private community.

To qualify for your FREE spot inside the Beta Group of the Changemaker Program in 2024, here's how to apply:

• upload a 3-minutes or less video (MP4) or audio (MP3) recording
• reply to this email address by Sunday, October 13th at 8 p.m. (ET), answering the following questions:

1. Your full name
2. A little bit about you and your family – your kid(s) ages, where you live in the world and what you are currently working on professionally (business idea, employee, contract, other phase of life)
3. What does Mixing Babies And Business™ mean for you and your future goals? (be specific if you can)
4. What do you think has been getting in the way?
5. How do you think the Changemaker Program and working with me (Amy) will help you?
6. What is the #1 thing you would like to have or experience by the end of the Beta Group round of this program?

Use the title 'Mixing Babies And Business Changemaker Program Beta Scholarship Entry – Your First and Last Name' when saving and uploading your video or audio note.

Yes, you can upload the video as UNLISTED (but not as private) on YouTube so it will only be visible to those you share the link with. You can also upload and share the recording of your application via Google Drive or Dropbox if that is easier for you.

Submit your name, email address and link to your application recording in the email to complete your application.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Scholarship Recipients*

I'm not looking for a perfect edit or answers – I simply want to get to know you better and screen potential Beta Group participants, to ensure:

✅ You ARE a parent of young kids

✅ I can support you well

✅ We are a good fit (motivated, positive attitude, growth mindset)

✅ My intuition will be able to guide me (yes I refer to that alongside my logic!)

✅ The Changemaker Program will create an impact with you

If I feel like my training, resources, support and delivery style can help you AND you will be able to make progress on your personal and professional goals, I will most likely pick you!

*Please note: I am only selecting between 5-10 Beta Group scholarship recipients for 2024 – applications are due on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 at 8 p.m. (ET) so I can notify participants and we can begin the program ASAP!
