Mitochondria Gallery is honored to present “Serenity," a group show featuring visual artists, Laju Sholola, Odeyemi Oluwaseun, and Franklin Ndibam.

These artists present works that explore a variety of subject matters ranging from self-discovery, social commentary, culture, and friendship.

Laju Sholola explores visibility, vulnerability, strength, intimate expressions, and moods of women. Laju’s focus is to capture the uncertainties and hope associated with the journey of self-discovery. Odeyemi Oluwaseun depicts the importance of a social support system; his work is a documentation of the human connection. The subjects featured in Odeyemi’s work are individuals that have played an important role in shaping his life. Franklin Ndibam’s focus is on capturing and preserving the current state of culture in his environment through portraiture.

This exhibition features works in the form of portraiture and figuration from all three visual artists with varying forms of media applied on canvas. Altogether, “Serenity” features works that depict a state of togetherness, poise, and equanimity.
