For his debut exhibition in the United States, Chijioke presents abstract-figurative expressionism paintings, which he creates using oil on canvas. His journey to becoming an artist began as an adolescent, and was further developed by his completion of a Bachelors in Fine and Applied Art from the University of Benin in 2015. Chijioke participated in the July 2021 Rele Young Contemporary Bootcamp residency. He was also awarded the Emerging Creative Award grant by Protoganostic based in New York City, USA in 2020.

Chijikoe was also accepted into the prestigious ArtOmi, artist residency in Ghent, New York which he will begin in 2022. He is also scheduled to begin his MFA in 2022 at the Chautauqua School of Arts, New York, United States.

Chijioke employs a spontaneous, layered approach with broad chaotic strokes, and juxtaposing bold colors to convey emotions.

" I want my audience to experience the emotions in other people’s corner. I want them to consciously participate in the process of how people react to sociopolitical, cultural, and sexual bias issues in society. I’m drawn to the various subjective responses of individuals to these sociocultural issues. My works are also a commentary on things happening in the community."
