Misty's Writing/Life Update:

Hey everyone! It’s a busy month for me—both in life and writing. I’m currently taking some time to do the final edit of Shadow Uprising, Shieldwall Academy Book 4. Isn't the new cover awesome?

Once I finish, it’ll head off to JS Arquin, my awesome narrator, for audiobook production. I’m excited to get it polished and ready for release, but finding time has been a bit of a juggling act lately.

With twin grandsons on the way (double the excitement!), a daughter having major surgery (she's recovering well), and the latest wonderful news, my third son just got engaged, life has been both amazing and non-stop!

Between family commitments and everything else, I’m squeezing in writing where I can.

Finding balance isn’t easy, but I’ve picked up a few tips that help:

• Appreciate the wonderful things: Take a moment to stop and enjoy your blessings.
• Prioritize tasks: Make a short list of what truly needs to get done each day. Focus on your top 3 priorities.
• Set boundaries: It’s okay to say no sometimes and protect your personal time.
• Take mini-breaks: Even 5–10 minutes away from the screen or work can recharge your energy. I like a quick walk outside.
• Get flexible with your schedule: If a strict routine doesn’t work, look for pockets of time throughout your day.
• Ask for help: Lean on your support system when things feel overwhelming!
