Hi friends,

I hope all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful one!

We had a house full of family and sixteen exclusively kid-made pies for dessert.

Here are a few:

For those who are curious, here's the list:

• 4 pecan pies
• 3 pumpkin pies
• 1 apple pie (for my husband who insists on a fruit pie every year)
• 3 key lime pies
• 3 chocolate mousse pies
• 2 banana cream pies

For those who haven't heard the story: We don't have much dessert in the house, so one year, I told the kids they could have as much pie for Thanksgiving dinner that they wanted . . . on one condition:

They made them, and they cleaned up all the mess.

They got so excited to have permission for unlimited sweets that they got busy. The tradition got out of control over the years as the younger kids got old enough to join in, and they kept added types of pie to the list without taking any off - lol.

So, it was an enjoyable week, and I especially loved seeing my adult kids and granddaughter.

Misty's Writing Update

I'm so excited to report that I finished final editing on Emerging Rebel, the sequel to Awakening Horde. JS Arquin just started recording the audiobook yesterday! It's really exciting! Both the ebook and audiobook should be ready toward the end of January, or you can pre-order the ebook now.

And I finally found the time to wrap up the conclusion of book 3. Tying all the plot threads into a satisfying conclusion was a lot of fun. I also dropped a really big cliff hanger at the end to lead into book 4.

Hopefully, readers won't get too mad, because I did wrap up all the major storylines in the book first.

So this week, I have finished the first three chapters in the brand new book 4! I'm still playing around with a name for it. Maybe I'll narrow it down to a few choices you can help me choose from sometime soon.
