Basement Empty, Heart Full 💕 + A Must-Know Prepared Tip 27

Hi friends,
(Please use the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of this email if you don't want these emails anymore. Clicking "Spam" gives me a black mark from Gmail that I can't fix. Thanks!!)
Well, it finally happened. My son, his wife, and their three little ones, including my sweet twin grandsons, just moved out of our basement and into their own home!
It’s a wonderful step for them. The new place is closer to my son’s work, which means no more soul-crushing commute.
But I’ll be honest, it’s a bittersweet day for me. For the past year, I’ve had tiny grins and baby giggles just downstairs. Now I’ll have to drive half an hour to get my grandbaby snuggles. (Cue the dramatic sigh.)
They’re settling in well, though, and I’m planning frequent visits. Hopefully, a few video calls will bridge the gap, too.
Oh, and for my deal-loving readers, good news!
Amazon selected Awakening Horde for a July Kindle Deal and it's half price at $2.99! You can also grab an extra copy to gift a friend if you have their email and want to share a good book.

Prepper Tip of the Week: Grab-and-Go Binder!
You’ve probably heard about go-bags for emergencies, but have you thought about a go-binder?
In an emergency, whether it's a wildfire, flood, or sudden evacuation, you may not have time to gather important paperwork.
A small binder or folder (or even a ziploc bag) stored with your go-bag can make a huge difference. Here's what to include:
- Copies of IDs (driver’s license, passport).
- Medical cards, allergy info, prescriptions information.
- Insurance policies (home, auto, health).
- Emergency contacts including out-of-state relatives.
- A USB drive with scanned documents.
- Printed or folded paper maps of your area (in case GPS fails).
Bonus items:
- Toss in a little cash (You don’t need to overdo it, just enough to get you through the first few chaotic days.)
- Add a list of passwords or login hints - something coded or partial in case someone else gets ahold of it.
Keep everything zipped in a waterproof pouch and update it once or twice a year. Your future self will thank you.
Best of luck getting prepared, and if you've got babies in your life, enjoy the cuddles!
