Hi friends,

This is short today as we are in the middle of Iowa and close to Nebraska, finishing up the final part of our cross-country move.

Early this morning, we said goodbye to Michigan and our friends there for the last time. After over twenty years and raising six kids there, leaving was bittersweet. We’re so excited to be near the rest of our family, but sad to say goodbye.

I’m sure many of you have made similar big changes in life. Any tips on coping with all the new people and things we’ll be facing now would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions and encouragement. You’re such amazing readers!

Misty’s Writing Update:

1.     Turns out that writing a whole bunch of extra chapters ahead is coming in VERY handy, allowing me to keep up with my Royal Road publishing schedule of three chapters a week while I keep missing a lot of writing time during this huge move.

2.     Awakening Horde audiobook recording will be starting next week! It’s finally here and I can’t wait to share it with you.

3.     I’ve finally started writing the third book in the series for my Patreons to read soon, and over on the free web-serial site, RoyalRoad.com, you can read most of book 2 already.

4.     Speaking of Patreon, I’ve finally earned enough from generous supporters to completely cover the $6k+ cost to produce the audiobook!

5.     My son, who just got his associates in Animation and loves digital art is going to give a stab at making the next illustrated cover for me. I’ll keep you updated. (Fun Fact: my daughter already did two of my post-apoc covers for me: Deadly Escape and Deadly Rescue)

6.     . . . and I keep brainstorming new books and series. What would you love to see me write next?

Well, I’m at our hotel, and it’s late. We spent over sixteen hours on the road yesterday and have another long day ahead of us tomorrow.

Good thing I’ve got a good book to listen to! I hope you have something fun to read, too!
