Mental Health Tip: Do Nothing. On Purpose!

Ever heard of Niksen? It’s a Dutch concept that literally means “doing nothing.” Not meditating. Not scrolling. Not planning. Just letting your mind wander.

Why it works: Research shows that this kind of “intentional boredom” boosts creativity, relieves stress, and allows your brain to reset. It’s the mental equivalent of letting your muscles recover after a hard workout.

Try staring out the window for 5 minutes. You might be surprised what your brain comes up with once you stop telling it what to do.
