Not just for its usual purpose, a tampon is a multi-use survival tool you probably never thought about:

• Water Pre-Filter – The cotton core can remove the thicker sediment from water before purifying. (Still boil or filter it afterward!)
• Wound Dressing – The sterile cotton makes an excellent emergency bandage for deep cuts that are bleeding a lot.
• Fire Starter – Fluff up the cotton, and it catches a spark like magic.

Weird? Yes.

Useful? Absolutely.
