First take-home dosing begins in Phase 2B LSD-Microdosing Trial in Cancer Patients

We've got some uplifting news from MindBio Therapeutics that we couldn't wait to share!

Here's the news in brief:

First Doses Taken! We've started dosing in our Phase 2B clinical trials in advanced stage cancer patients.
Microdosing MB22001. Small, non-hallucinogenic doses of MindBio's proprietary titratable form of LSD (MB22001), for take home Microdosing to treat depression and emotional distress in advanced stage cancer patients.
Why? Often, cancer treatments are tough. Besides chemotherapy, many patients take additional meds for pain, depression, and anxiety. We hope MB22001 might offer a more tolerable way to boost mood.
How? A randomised, double-blind and placebo controlled clinical trial in advanced stage cancer patients with a stage IV solid tumour cancer experiencing emotional distress.
Global Impact: If this works well, it could open doors for patients around the world to get access to this treatment faster, thanks to special approvals in countries like Australia, UK the US, and Canada.
A World First! The MindBio team has secured government approvals to conduct these trials and dose patients with Microdoses out in the community. Clinical trial participants take MB22001 at home in the same way they would take any other medication. Of course, we have a full monitoring and safety protocol in place to the satisfaction of our regulators. We are proving the safe, take-home use of psychedelic medicines alongside proven psychological therapies.
MindBio now has two Phase 2 clinical trials underway:
Phase 2A LSD-Microdosing (MB22001) in patients with Major Depressive Disorder, and;
Phase 2B LSD-Microdosing (MB22001) in patients with Cancer
