Seventh Edition - Groups, Being a Guest; Better Music Theory

Finally, a course update!

Hi everyone!

A particular hello to our latest two subscribers who signed up this week, bringing us closer than ever to a readership of circa ~100 people! If you, , know of anyone who might find value in these occasional updates, you can share the list using your referral link at the bottom of the page.

Recently, I've spent some time covering rehearsals as a guest conductor. It's great fun to work with a whole new group, and a lovely way of staying fresh in a new environment - I love the energy and uncertainty of the first minutes of a new rehearsal, and the chance to work with total strangers!

It's been a real privilege to do this a number of times recently, with orchestras in Leeds and Otley, and Concert Bands in Harrogate, Leeds and York. I'm out again twice this week, in Ripon and Harrogate!

My huge background project is ticking away, and very nearly ready for a full launch, so I would like to introduce you to LiveMusicTheory.com.

I'm building a one-stop shop for music theory. A majority of the musicians I meet in the course of my work feel they could be better-equipped with theory knowledge and confidence, so I have designed a course to fulfil that exact need. Whether you're someone who wants to gain a greater understanding of theory in general and build your confidence, or you'd like to sit a theory examination (or have a family member or friend who needs an exam) - this course is for you.

It's delivered via video, worksheet, interactive quiz and live seminar. You can complete it at your own pace - whether you're running the whole thing back to back, or dipping in to each lesson once a week.

And I'm hosting live sessions monthly, explaining key concepts and offering custom support. In addition, you can email me any time.

If you're a teacher, perhaps one who delivers practical support to students but tends to feel less confident with theory, then I hope you will feel able to send students to this course to support your work with them. I'll be launching an affiliate scheme for this soon!

Thanks for reading!
