1 IDEA FROM ME πŸ’‘

Do you know who you are? Like really know? I don't think anyone can really know, but we can get close to understanding ourselves.

Thinking Ponder GIF by Karen Civil

This comes down to being introspective and reception to what people say in relation to our behaviours, attitudes, values and beliefs.

One way to know this better is to try out the Johari window. Essentially what you do is identify characteristics you think you have, and ask your friends and colleagues to do the same for you.

Doing this exercise allows you to quickly see any similarities that overlap, and overtime you'll uncover any blind spots through experience.

You can check out one of my earlier videos on the Johari window via YouTube here.

Another thing you can do is to take the 16 Personalities test. It is a simple and easy way to quickly learn about the traits you have based on their questionnaire.

You can take a test here.

Doing these exercises will make you more "self-aware" which is the basis for all change.

Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds - David Goggins

Anyone who knows about David Goggins knows that has been named one of the baddest mother f*ckers on the planet!

His life story is a testimony to how you can truly turn struggle, real pain and poverty, into a massive success.

Not being your average person, Mr Goggins developed techniques to make him do some insane (and I truly mean insane), things when joined the Seals early on in his career.

For example, in 2005 he ran a 100-mile race at 240 pounds, needing to do it within 24 hours, and shattered all small bones in his leg at mile 70. This man, wrapped up his legg and carried on running finishing the race (Even though he was peeing blood!).

This is just an iota of what he did!

There are not many books, or many people who can give you such an extreme perspective to help you become accountable to yourself, in order to live a life of mastery and personal success.

Check out the book below, for an upgrade to your mental toughness.
