1 IDEA FROM ME πŸ’‘

If there is one thing that is guaranteed in life it is change.

Sometimes we are stuck with things that we want to change but are too scared to change.

When we don't react to change with the right intensity, energy and timing, sometimes we lose the opportunity for real change.

This type of change, the one with a higher intensity is more aligned to our ultimate desires for something different, and something more.

If you are ever stuck with what to do always make sure to write out the positives of taking action and the negatives.

Many people overlook the need for simple exercises, but relying purely on your brain will fail you.

Putting pen to paper focuses the mind and allows you to relate to, and acknowledge what your real options are.

So the lesson for today is, when wanting change you need to audaciously attack it, being aware of what your real options are.

1 BOOK RECOMMENDATION FROM ME πŸ“š

The Burnout Generation β€” Anne Helen Peterson

When I decided to purchase this book I was like "This better be good it's pretty short" however I found that it related to me in so many different ways.

Anne Helen Peterson, is a senior culture writer for BuzzFeed News and wrote a raw and real article called How Millennials Became The Burnout Generation.

Due to the reception she got, she wrote this book and interviewed people to highlight the realities of burnout.

If you are working crazy hours, running a business, have kids, and constantly busy, this book will explain why, and dive into some unspoken truths we feel. Here are some quotes from the book:

"Our parents generations don't understand the meritocracy we live in, it is not sustainable and feels like we are working all the time..."

"How can I project manage my own happiness?"

"Stability takes precedence over loftier dreams..."

If you're trying to understand why you feel the way you feel, especially if you feel like you're in the rat race, then check out this book via the links below.
