1 IDEA FROM ME đź’ˇ

Do you have a time limit for your goals?

I ask because it seems like a naturally good thing to do. By writing this I'm not suggesting it isn't but I've noticed a few things.

Adding a time frame to your goals can create pressure, pressure than can be good. But if you fail, your psychological and mental health may suffer badly.

This year I have been experimenting with not sticking any sort of deadline.

I can confidently say that doing this has contributed to my high productivity this year, despite at times, feeling lethargic.

The lack of pressure and freedom to act has helped greatly.

This, however, would not be possible if I did not apply something I call "The Law of One" - something I'll probably leave for another email.

The main message here is to not necessarily not to keep time deadlines, but to be flexible with your goals.

Sticking to a hard time frame compared to focusing on the activity only, may damage you in the long run.

1 QUOTE FROM ME đź“ť

“Don’t be intimidated by what you don’t know. That can be your greatest strength and ensure that you do things differently from everyone else.” - Sara Blakely

What a different perspective...! One way to look at this is that the unknown can push you to ask questions that lead to unique answers not matched by those who are in the know. This leads to different results, paving a way for you to create something authentic and uncommon...

1 BOOK RECOMMENDATION FROM ME đź“š

The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results.

I cannot express how important this book is, especially when it comes to focus and increasing your productivity. After reading bits of this book, I often end up being super productive.

It is centred around that idea that less is best! Focusing on one thing is better than focusing on everything. Here's a quote from the book:

"Be like a postage stamp, stick to one thing and you'll get there!"

There is part in the book where Andrew Carnegie is quoted saying:

“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” is all wrong. I tell you “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket.” Look round you and take notice; men who do that do not often fail. It is easy to watch and carry the one basket. It is trying to carry too many baskets that breaks most eggs in this country. He who carries three baskets must put one on his head, which is apt to tumble and trip him up. One fault of the American business man is lack of concentration.

Do you agree? Regardless it is a bold statement, and at the moment one that I am attracted to because it's working well for me. You can get this book using the links below:
