Hello !
On Sunday, we wrapped up our series, "Created in God's Image to Reign". It was a great morning that really challenged people (including me). In case you missed it, I really want to encourage you to listen to the message. You can do so by going here.
We learned that reigning is all about loving. That loving God is the ultimate state of being.
We also learned that we can't love God or others if we're full of pride (the same stuff that got Lucifer thrown out of heaven).
At the end of the message, I gave three questions to help you gauge whether or not you have a pride problem. I thought I'd share them in this week's email so that you can spend some time in personal reflection and evaluation with them.
First, what am I doing for God where love is not the ultimate goal?
Second, Is there an area of suffering that I’m complaining about instead of embracing and letting God’s work be done in me?
And third, Where (besides God) am I getting my value from?
Spend some time with these. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you where you've been prideful. Remember, pride keeps you from seeing your sin. Pride keeps you from seeing that you're prideful, so you'll probably need His help.
