Hey .
On Sunday, we launched our new series, "Un-off-end-able". It was a powerful time, and we really saw the Lord move on hearts.
Like I said then, anger and offense come easy. They're natural responses to being treated unfairly or when our righteous sensibilities have been violated.
But, did you know that holding on to offense can actually have the same effect on us that trauma does?
It's true. Bitterness (holding on to offense) can effect our sleep negatively, making it difficult to rest well. It also causes fatigue, making us tired during the day. It can kill your libido, effecting your marriage. It can also lead to low self-confidence.
Holding on to offense can actually cause your overall personality to shift negatively. I don't know about you, but that one is enough for me to LET GO of my offenses.
Lastly, bitterness can hinder us from having healthy relationships. Wow.
So, let me encourage you. Do as Paul the Apostle says to do in Ephesians 4:31 and get rid of bitterness and anger before their effects turn you into someone that you don't want to be, and is less than God's best.
Be sure you don't miss the rest of this great series.
See you Sunday!
