A Quick Hello....

Jul 01, 2025 1:16 am

Hi , it’s been a while...

I’ve moved everyone over to a newer, more intuitive email communication platform that works with my booking calendar. Hopefully this makes things smoother for both of us, though I’m still figuring it all out.

imageHeads up, I’m off from June 30 to July 14

In NZ, school kids get two weeks off every term. It’s great, but it also means I step away from work to be present while my kids still think I’m cool! During this break:

  • No chronic appointments
  • I’ll check emails less often (mark yours as urgent if it is)
  • I may be around for the odd acute, but no promises

Need help while I’m away?

I’m part of a great team at Acute Care Homeopathy. We offer 24/7 acute consults and spend 30 to 40 minutes with you to make sure the remedy fits. We find 15 minutes consults are too rushed! We take time to listen properly and find the best match. We even see dogs.

A Summer Gift the Northern Hemisphere ( Keep the recipe for South Pacific Summer).

The Recipe That Helps with... Everything. This one's especially for my northern friends where asparagus is in season. Besides tasting amazing with butter, garlic, salt, and a sprinkle of parmesan, did you know asparagus supports detox, digestion, and even hormone balance [and so much more]?

Asparagus Longevity Soup

Ingredients: image

3 pounds asparagus

2 tablespoons avocado oil

1 large white onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoons minced garlic, onion, ginger

6 cup vegetable/chicken broth

1/2 cup flour, (gluten free)

sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Clean and chop asparagus, set tips aside.
  2. In a stock pot, heat oil and cook onion until soft (about 10 minutes).
  3. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
  4. Add chopped asparagus (not the tips) and sauté for 10 minutes on medium.
  5. Stir in flour and cook for 5 minutes until thick.
  6. Add 2 to 3 cups of stock, just enough to cover veggies.
  7. Lower heat and puree with an immersion blender.
  8. Add remaining stock, bring to a boil, then reduce to low.
  9. Stir in nutritional yeast flakes slowly to avoid lumps.
  10. Add salt, pepper, and reserved asparagus tips.
  11. Simmer 5 more minutes.

Serves 4 to 6.

Tastes great with sourdough and a big green salad.
