"Pediatric Nurses: Navigating the Future”

The NCN is now accepting proposals for concurrent sessions or poster presentations for the NCN 21st Annual Conference, taking place October 4, 2024!

The Curriculum Planning Committee welcomes abstracts from pediatric nurses, student nurses, interprofessional teams, and committees on new, innovative, and practical approaches that can be used in a variety of pediatric settings.

Membership in NCN is not required to submit an abstract

Abstracts will share ideas, expertise, and research on academic, clinical, psychosocial, and professional topics that will enhance the pediatric nurse's knowledge and skill in a variety of pediatric settings.

Abstracts in the areas of clinical care, ambulatory care, trauma, leadership and professional development are especially desired.

TRACK options:

1. Clinical Topics in Acute/Ambulatory/Home/School Nursing
2. Trauma
3. Professional development (& education)

Presentation options:

1. 50 minute concurrent session on a clinical, leadership or professional development topic (e.g. innovation, change in practice implementation process, DNP project topics).
2. 15 minute oral abstract (e.g. clinical case presentations, EBP, research, or QI project results). 
3. Poster

Abstract Guidelines

Full presentation title

Author names, credentials, and contact information

300 words that include:

• Summary of strategy, project, or study methodology
• Implications for nursing practice
• A minimum of three references/citation

Upcoming Dates and Deadlines

• Call for Podium Abstracts Closes: May 31, 2024 EXTENDED to June 14
• Call for Poster Abstracts Closes: May 31, 2024 EXTENDED to June 14
• Applicants Notified of Status: July 2024

When necessary, the Conference Planning Committee will make final decisions as to the presentation format (poster/podium, etc). Submitters will be notified first if presentation format adjustments are needed.
