LUMIX S1ii is HERE

LUMIX finally announced the brand new S1ii, a powerhouse video hybrid flagship from LUMIX. With features like false color, 32bit float audio, ARRI log C3, and more!

BUT one of my favorite features is the fact that you can finally shoot OPEN GATE 48/ 60 fps!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO

Wait, what is the S1iiE...

Alongside the brand new LUMIX S1ii, Panasonic Lumix also announced the LUMIX S1iiE as an upgraded version of the S5iiX. This camera, though priced a lot higher than the 2-year-old S5iiX, only sits $300 more than the original launch price, with some interesting features.

Apart from having the EXACT same camera body as the S1Rii & the S1ii, the S1iiE has the ARRI Log C3, 32-bit Float (via XLR2), False Colors, Pro Res RAW, and more. To check out the FULL video, click the image below!

LUMIX S1Rii or S1ii? Which camera is right for you?

Well....this is a very interesting question. But the majority of my answer boils down to this. If you need 44.3 megapixel photos, well the S1Rii will make more sense. It does have some impressive video features that even the S1ii does not have, like 8K, and 7.1K open gate coming soon. However if you are a videographer first the S1ii has overall better video performance, better video specs, greater low light, rolling shutter, dynamic range, and more!
