How many pages do you need for your website to be effective?

Well, isn't that the question…

Let's flip that question around. Instead, you should ask yourself:

• What is the purpose of this page on my website?
• How does this page help me run my brand?
• How does this page help my audience?
• Is the content on this page solving for a specific problem?

In screenwriting, if the content being added to a screenplay does not either 1) tell you more about a character or 2) drive the story forward, then it should be kept off the page.

The same filter used by screenwriters can be applied by you to your own business. You can use that filter to make good decisions for your website's copy, your email marketing, and even your social media marketing.

In the example above: 1) the "character" is you or your business, and 2) the "story" is the impact you're creating for others and the world.
