Hey, ,

I'm currently taking some time off, and during this period, I've embraced an important lesson about the value of rest, which I'd like to share with you.

Typically, I write these newsletter editions the same week, or even the same day, that I send them out. This approach helps me stay connected to the content and ensures that what I'm sharing feels immediate and personal. I also feel like it allows me to feel more connected with you.

What is proactive rest?

How I'm achieving proactive rest

Prioritizing our mental health is crucial, especially given the pace of todayโ€™s world. I've witnessed the consequences of neglecting this in the past.

In the spirit of taking a step back and recharging, I've decided to make these breaks a routine part of my schedule, not just occasional reliefs. Iโ€™m still figuring out the specificsโ€”how often and how long each break should beโ€”but I am committed to this practice. The difference it makes is clear to me.

My family and I are taking this time together, which underscores the importance of self-care and quality time for me. We look forward to an unstructured schedule that allows us to relax, try new foods, visit new places, and enjoy the spring season.

I believe everyone can benefit from taking breaks. They provide an opportunity to step back, reflect, and return reinvigorated.

I encourage you to also prioritize your well-being. Whether it's a short walk, a day trip, or simply some quiet time to yourself, find something that brings you joy.

How do you intend to create time for relaxation? Reply via email or video/voice and let me know.

Enjoy,

Matt Cici
