Embracing spring energy π±

Hey ,
With Spring here (for me in the Northern Hemisphere), I'm getting a new sense of energy and drive. Although, I should mention that there's one large snowfall today / tomorrow.
I'm enjoying getting outdoors with fewer layersβ¦ which is nice. When taking longer walks, I am reminded about my deeper passions and values β the things that drive me, excite me, and end up being a part of everything I do.
I'm finding it helpful to remind myself of these, so that I can reflect on them. I can make better decisions about what I do next. I can understand more about what I should start doing, continue working on, or stop altogether.
What helps you bring your passions in focus?
My focus right now is on technology and education. Let me tell you a story about how I fell in love with coding for the web.
Now, I'm definitely not an expert in coding or web development, but after building websites for more than 15 years, I'm still excited to learn something new every day!
When I worked for Apple, we hosted an annual summer camp for kids. The energy there was infectious - with young campers running into the store with smiles beaming from cheek to cheek.
We had some amazing tech to work with, including Sphero, a programmable robot that could do almost anything you could think up.
Watching the campers solve any maze they designed and run any If/Then statements they could think of was a total blast, and it rekindled my love for coding.
I've always been young at heart, and coding just feels like a natural fit for me.
Before my first Apple Camp experience, I had already started developing websites for film festivals and filmmakers' movies, including my own.
But after embracing the energy from those Apple Camp sessions, I jumped back into custom web development.
Now, I'll be honest with you, I have always found it challenging to pick just one thing to focus on.
This is still difficult for me.
I want to spend even more time focusing on Wix website design, development, and education. I want to do this, so that I can provide a platform for you to showcase your work. This way, you have even greater resources and guidance to translate your vision into reality, and lead a life with intention.
And I'm going to make a point of working in public, sharing my learnings along the way. So, thanks for letting me share with you today.
Enjoy,
Matt
