Hey ,
Happy Wednesday!
As Iâm developing this newsletter, I feel itâs going to be more important to think (and share) about recognizing health and wellness when running your business, brand, organization, or personal site.
Acknowledging the little things in our lives can be very rewarding. Amy Cuddy shares that by just standing in a âPower Poseâ for two minutes before any activity, we can boost our confidence and chance for success in that very pursuit. Listen to the TED talk here >
It takes a lot to get started. And even more to keep going. You started something. Iâm proud of you. â¤ď¸
Today, I also wanted to take some space to celebrate joy! What are the things that are bringing you joy this week?
Iâll share with you a few things in my life:
- I am enjoying the still sunny (and cool Fall) days of Minnesota đ.
- One of my favorite apps for calming background music just got a new update. Itâs called Endel, and you could say itâs a personalized soundscape for your mind and body. The update includes a uniquely new soundscape called âStudyâ (and this email was powered by it). Listen in >
- Wix hand-selected me as a participant in their brand new âsecretâ venture. Iâm both completely honored and stoked! Itâs been an amazing & fun journey to move from building personal sites for friends, family, and filmmakers to working with more than one-hundred businesses since becoming a Wix Partner in 2020. I canât say more about this venture yet. When I can, though, youâll be the first to know.
- Receiving feedback from these letters and even some topic suggestions from readers like you makes me smile. Thank you!
Also, thanks for allowing me to share.
I thought that a podcast by Wixâon how the company Oh Joy! and its founder, Joy Cho, brings joy to the everydayâwould be entertaining and entirely on topic. I dunnoâcan there be too much joy?
Give it a listenâŚ
đ§ Joy Cho of Oh Joy! and growing on your own terms
Wix caught up with Joy Cho and talked about how she developed a successful creative business, harnessed the power of social media and terminated at just the right time in order to move on to the next thing she loved.
Whether you already have a website or are looking to start, share something positive with people close to you or your readers. See how they respond.
Okay, your turn! Whatâs bringing you joy this week? Let me know in a reply.
Enjoy,
Matt
