Figure it out as you go

Hey ,

Last week, I shared with you the news about a training series that would help you start or grow your business.

And, that we'd be starting today.

I am so excited about sharing this training series with you because of the results I've seen it create for others.

My update for this week: I will need to delay the start of this training series (just a little longer).

I want to share a little background as to why I've made the decision to delay this training — in hopes of sharing a valuable lesson about staying true to yourself.

To be honest with you, I did hesitate to set a start date.

I have yet to facilitate this content for more than one person or business at a time. This type of "newness" will present a lot of unknowns for me.

Though, I didn't want perfection to get in the way of doing things for others.

So, I told myself it would be okay to share this training with you on a weekly basis, and to get started right away. And, that I would figure it out as I go.

I went ahead and pressed the send button.

In last week's newsletter, I announced the training series and shared a start date — which makes writing this letter to you hard for me, since we're not starting this week.

After a few long conversations with people close to me, I realized I wasn't as clear about what this training is and what it can do for you (and others). Knowing that there's some confusion around the training didn't sit well with me.

My goal has always been to make this entire newsletter experience better for you. My biggest concern is that I don't want to let you down.

Being transparent, not letting you down, and ensuring this training series is a great experience for you is more important to me than starting today.

This email is an example of what I want to do for you: help you put your own needs and goals at the center of your business. To make sure you stay true to yourself.

This training series is a living thing. While I have a solid plan for what to teach and how to do it, the training itself will adapt based on your participation and responses.

My plan from the start was to offer more than just newsletters. To go above and beyond. For you.

Instead of creating this training series as a one-way communication tool (from me to you), I am making myself available for you to reach out to me and get help along the way.

And, I realized (with some help from those close to me) that I needed to prepare a little more for the responses from this training. If more people reach out, I need to be available.

I want to give you my all, and everything.

I will be here to help you discover your goals and how you want to meet them.

I will keep you accountable for meeting your goals. And, I want you to hold me accountable too.

So, here's an example of how I'm making this training series more clear: I am designing a page on my website that explains what to expect and what is expected from you. There will also be a place for others to sign up for this training.

This website page will be helpful for you, and others who join.

It is my goal to make this entire experience better for you. And them.

Here's a screenshot from the document I'm using to plan the page for my website (The screenshot is not really legible. I just wanted to share with you my process.).

You're teaching me, just as much as I am teaching you.

I look forward to working with you and anyone else who decides to join us.

If you would like to invite someone you know that could benefit from this training series, please use the link at the bottom of this email to share the free signup with them. 👇🏼

Having more voices involved creates a larger benefit for all. Your unique perspective is valuable and will create growth for others too.

Thank you for your time this week. I greatly appreciate you.

You will still get weekly newsletters on Wednesday. And, I'll keep you updated on my progress.

Stay true to yourself. What part of you are you not willing to give up?

Enjoy,

Matt
