Hey ,

When you're an entrepreneur, it's easy to get caught up in the what and the how of your business. But if you want to be truly successful, it's essential that you also understand the why behind what you do.

The why is the purpose, cause or belief that drives everything you do. It's the reason you get up in the morning and the thing that keeps you going when things get tough. And it's what sets you apart from your competition (i.e. your peers / collaborators as I see them).

If you're not sure what your why is, don't worry - it's not something that you're born with. It's something that you have to discover for yourself. But once you find it, it will be the driving force behind everything you do.

So let's explore togetherโ€ฆ

Here are 5 action steps to find your why:

Share your progress to get feedback (or a fan in me) with a quick reply.

1. Start with why you do what you do

The first step is to understand why you do what you do. Why did you start your business in the first place? What was your motivation for becoming an entrepreneur?

To find your why, you need to dig deep and ask yourself some tough questions. But the answers will be worth it. Once you know your why, you'll have a much clearer idea of what you want to achieve with your business.

2. Define what you do with emotion

Your why should be more than just a dry, factual statement. It should be something that inspires you and gets you excited about what you do.

To find your emotional why, think about the things that make you feel good about your business. What are the things that make you proud to be an entrepreneur?

It could be the satisfaction of helping others, the sense of achievement from building something from scratch, or the joy of being your own boss. Whatever it is, make sure it's something that gets you excited about what you do.

3. Lead with that emotion

Once you've found your emotional why, it's time to start leading with it. This means making it the driving force behind everything you do.

Your why should be the cornerstone of your business. It should be what guides your decisions and shapes your strategy. Everything you do should be in line with your why.

4. Transform your audience

Once you've found your why and started leading with it, you'll start to see a transformation in your audience. They'll be inspired by your passion and your message will resonate with them on a deeper level.

This is the true power of the why. When you lead with your why, you'll not only transform yourself, but you'll also transform the people around you. And that's what makes it so special.

5. Display that transformation for your future audience

Take what you've discovered by going through this process, and craft a single sentence that explains it best. We practiced write better headlines in two prior lessons. Go revisit them here and here.

Displaying this transformation will serve as your leading headlines for your home page, along with your other major user touchpoints. Your audience will be much more aware of what you can provide them.

Congrats! ๐ŸŽ‰

You now have one of the most impactful ways to explain what you do: your why.
