Recommit to What You Started

Dear Family,

We’re down to the last three months of 2025.

This is the time of year when it’s easy to hit cruise control. To start coasting. To tell yourself, “I’ll get back on track in January.” Unfortunately, January intentions don’t mean much if we never follow through when the year gets tough.

So I want to challenge you to check yourself.

At the start of this year, many of us set ambtious goals. Maybe you wanted to get your finances in order, improve your health, deepen your relationships, or take a big step in your career or business. Those ambitions were real. You meant them.

If you have any chance of accomplishing them, these next three months are critical.

This is where you recommit. This is where you lock in. This is where you decide if 2025 is just another year, or the year you actually pushed through the plateau.

This isn’t about guilt. It’s about honesty. It’s asking:

  • Where am I right now compared to where I said I’d be?

  • What have I let slide?

  • What’s the one thing I can still accomplish before this year closes?

For me, checking myself means looking at the promises I made to my family and to myself.

Am I stewarding our finances well? Am I protecting my health so I can show up fully for Christian and Madison? Am I building with intention, or just staying busy?

We don’t control time, but we do control what we do with the time left.

And there’s still enough runway to make this year count. So check yourself. Be honest. Recommit. And go get it.

From LUX, With Love

Matt
