The Midway Point

Dear Family,

We are almost six months into the new year.

That realization hits differently depending on where you are in life. For some people, it creates excitement. For others, anxiety. For many, it is probably a combination of both.

At the beginning of every year, we set goals and ambitions for ourselves.

We tell ourselves this is going to be the year we finally get disciplined, finally get healthy, finally organize our finances, finally launch the business, or finally become the version of ourselves we know we are capable of becoming.

But then reality shows up.

Because goals always sound inspiring in theory. It is not until you actually begin taking action that you start understanding what those goals truly require from you. You realize the business requires more consistency than motivation.

You realize wealth building is less about quick wins and more about discipline over time.

You realize relationships require presence, communication, and intentionality.

You realize peace of mind is not something you stumble into. It is something you build. That is why the midway point matters.

Not because six months is a magical milestone, but because it gives us an opportunity to pause honestly and evaluate where we are.

What is working? What is not? Where are we making progress?

Where are we avoiding the truth?

Sometimes the answer is to stay the course.

Growth often feels invisible before it becomes obvious. The seeds you planted earlier this year may still be growing beneath the surface. But sometimes the midway point calls for adjustment.

There is wisdom in recognizing when a system, routine, or plan is no longer serving you.

Real discipline is not blindly sticking to a plan no matter what. It also requires awareness, reflection, and adaptation. If your spending still does not align with your priorities, now is the time to address it. If your business is not producing the results you hoped for, now is the time to refine it.

If your health, relationships, or mental well-being are suffering in the pursuit of “success,” now is the time to reevaluate what winning actually means.

Because excellence is not about pretending everything is working.

It is about having the courage to confront reality early enough to make meaningful adjustments. Pilots make small adjustments throughout an entire flight to stay on course. Life works the same way.

The people who build meaningful lives are not necessarily the people who never struggle.

They are the people willing to assess, adjust, and continue moving forward.

So as we approach the halfway point of the year, I think the real question becomes this:

Are you becoming who you said you wanted to become?

Not perfectly. Not overnight. But directionally. Because success is rarely about dramatic transformations. More often than not, it is the result of small decisions made consistently over time.

The good news is that there is still more than six months left.

Stay the course where conviction is required. Make adjustments where wisdom is calling you to. But either way, keep moving forward.
