January: Beginning the Year Gently ✨

My darling ,

January used to mean one thing for me:

 ✨ New year, new me.

New routines. New rules. New expectations.

And somehow… After a couple of weeks my big plans were already gathering dust.

Over the years, I’ve learned this very unsexy but very freeing truth:

 👉 If it’s not sustainable, it’s useless.

So this January, I’m not sprinting into the year with color-coded goals and unrealistic promises. I’m easing in. With kindness. With self-compassion. With good intentions that actually stand a chance of surviving real life.

That doesn’t mean we’re giving up or “letting ourselves go” (relax, inner critic).

It means we’re choosing progress over pressure, consistency over intensity, and doing less… but doing it better.

And because every new year deserves some playful novelty, I’m starting a new project I’m genuinely excited about:

📚 A Book Club (en español)

We’ll read one book per month, take the main ideas, try them on for size, adapt what makes sense to our lives…

And what doesn’t fit?

We laugh, we drop it, and we move on. No guilt. No drama.

Our first read is all about health, fitness, and the lies we tell ourselves every January — so yes, very on theme.

🍹Quick Cranberry Mocktail

One of my January resolutions? Apericena every Friday. No cooking, no fuss, just that delightful Italian hybrid between an aperitivo and a light dinner for the three of us at home marking the start of the weekend. After the festive December cocktails, this cranberry mocktail will be my go-to: refreshing, playful, and guilt-free.

🌟The Power of Sustainable Self‑Care

This isn’t a “buy a candle and call it self‑love” article — it’s about building real, long‑term self‑care that actually sticks. True self‑care isn’t quick fixes or cute rituals; it’s the stuff that helps you bounce back, stay resilient, and keep showing up for the life you actually want. Think rhythms, real boundaries, and habits you can live with — not resolutions that die by January 10th.

🎶Playlist

Named “Songs that will make you stick to your New Year’s resolutions”, is full of upbeat, get‑moving tunes that actually make doing your resolutions feel less like a chore and more like a dance party for your goals. Press play, move a little, and let January feel motivating instead of miserable.

🧘🏼‍♀️Morning movement

This gentle morning yoga video (10 min, No Props) invites you to stretch, breathe, and remind your body that it’s January, not March Madness. Short, sweet, and totally doable — no props, no complicated choreography, just you, your mat, and maybe a sleepy yawn.

🍽️Comforting dinner meals

Stuck in the same old weekday dinner rut? Same. But just because we’re aiming for cleaner eating doesn’t mean we want boring, bland meals. These recipes let you eat “clean” without tasting like cardboard — flavorful, satisfying, and anything but dull.

🎧 Audiobook:

I’ll Start Again Tomorrow: And Other Lies I've Told Myself — Sonia Jhas

A refreshingly honest take on health, fitness, and why January resolutions so often fail (hint: it’s not because you lack discipline).

This is also our first Book Club read (en español) and you are more than bienvenida to join us here: https://www.skool.com/activate-book-club-1966

Apericena awaits, playlist is queued, and the book club is ready to roll. Here’s to easing in, having fun, and sticking to what really matters — without the January guilt trip.

Hugs,

Caro 💗
