What's next?

Hey awesome,

I hope you are doing as well as humanly possible out there. We're getting ready to get ready (like...almost ready to get ready) to hit the road again, so season change, location change, lifestyle change...all the changes.

And while often I love change, it's often bittersweet. In this case, we're leaving family, friends and fall in New England, which makes it harder, and so now my routine is... far less routine-y.

But there are things to look forward to, too. First: before our next 5-6 month stay, we're visiting with a ton of wonderful folks at FactoryCon. Are you in the North Carolina area? If so, you can swing by Coinjock, NC Oct 21-23 and hang out with a ton of authors, editors, shenaniganators, and more! It's a not-con, a relaxicon, the CKP year-end celebration, and there will be tons of books, food, and excellent times.

From there my husband Jeremy and I are spending the winter outside of Charleston, SC. We had our wedding there, 14 years ago, and we haven't been able to spend a ton of time in the area since. We're looking forward to doing touristy things, eating all the food, and oh, I have about eleventy billion projects to finish...

Ok, five. Maybe six. There's a Fallen World novel, a Valkyries novel, a Valykries/Hit World novella, a small handful of short stories for awesome anthologies, and...a secret project that I thiiiink I'll be able to tell you about soon.

They're all pretty staggered in terms of completion and therefore release dates, so we probably won't have another run of three-releases-in-six-weeks any time soon. Speaking of...

It's bonkers that three things I'm so dang proud of came out so quickly. Did you have a chance to dig into The Lyons' Pride, The Valkyries Initiative, and or World Enders? If so, what did you think? I'd absolutely love to hear!

If you haven't had a chance to read them, or are interested in a fun fact or two about each, I talked about them in the last blog.

So that's what I'm up to for the rest of 2022. A little more travel, writing, FactoryCon, writing, talking about writing, writing, aaaaand writing. Ok, there will also be the occasional run-around-town-and-enjoy-Charleston adventures as well. Do you have any coastal Carolina recommendations we should check out while we're there? Please tell me so I can start building my reward-for-writing-goals list.

And for treating yourself goodness, there are of course the neverendingly fabulous free options riiiight here;

And with that, I should get back to writing. Or prepping the RV for travel. Or maybe one good nap...but then definitely the rest of that!

Til next time,

Marisa
