Hey awesome,

I hope you are closing out 2021 with rest and time spent however you like. It's been a...wild year, and it's anyone's guess what's ahead.

I'm not much for resolutions (given any time I've made them, they've been long gone before February at best), but I saw an idea floating around these here internets about picking a theme for the year.

Not a plan, necessarily (we make plans, God laughs, etc.), but an overarching aim - a focus, a feeling, maybe even a vibe for the year. I'm taking the next few days to decide what my ideal theme for 2022 will be. At least one part of my theme is write ALL THE BOOKS, because there are some exciting projects on the horizon.

What about you? Are you a resolution person? Considering a theme for the year? Maybe picking out a soundtrack? I'd love to hear about it!

In the meantime, I'm back in the writing groove - I've written about 20,000 words in the last few days for my upcoming project with the fabulous Bill Webb, which is a nice change from a few weeks of...not doing that.

Taking that energy into 2022, but I don't want to lie to you - I'm also taking time for a few naps along that way because again, it's been a wild year. Maybe a good book or two before the writing reeeeally kicks again. What was your favorite book of 2021? I might need to add it to my list, between naps. ;)
