Hi Everyone,

I’m thrilled to share the latest episode of the Choosing Acceptance podcast with you! This one is a must-listen—especially if you or someone you know has ever struggled with processing sounds and understanding speech.

Workshop 1 will be released by the end of the month with my workshop partner Rosemary.

Quick updates:

Have anyone of you had to move your parents into an assistant living apartment or nursing home?

I would love to hear about your experiences and solutions.

I'm back in town after helping my 88-year-old mom move into an assistant living apartment closer to us. We are both happy with the decision we made on the community everyone is super nice there.

I can tell you that moving my mom was a daunting experience but thankfully we had lots of help. It's been up to me to do most of the unpacking, and some help from my husband and son too. Her real estate agent dropped off a few important items that we had left behind by accident. I finally have peace of mind knowing that there are both nursing staff and security guards keeping an eye on my mom and the other 84 resident's total. Having her closer to me means that I can be home more once we finish getting her apartment setup the way she wants it. Afterwards we have her set up; we will be more focused on Maintenace. Which means I can start getting back into my regular routine and staying on top of our newsletters.

In this episode, we dive into the myths and facts about auditory perception—a learning disability that’s often misunderstood.
