Nononono! Long story short...

Just like giving birth, you never know when your baby's going to arrive. The expected release day for Pieces of Forever was Monday, April 27th... but Surprise! She's here two days early!!
I woke up Friday morning to an email from Amazon, notifying me that they CANCELED my preorders and deleted my book, Pieces of Forever.
Long story short, there was a glitch on Amazon's end, and they couldn't retrieve the preorders, and they had me re-upload, so the new release date is right this minute!! If you already purchased, you should have been reimbursed. Here is the new link to the book.
Oh, and like I said about never knowing when a baby's going to arrive...Sunday, April 26th, is my baby boy's 20th birthday (unlike my book, he was 9 days overdue). It's the end of an era in my household. No more teenagers in my house; all three kids are their twenties. How did that happen?
But back to the current stars of the show, Vivian Thomas, daughter of an NHL hockey legend, and Brody Moore, an NHL hopeful who is about to age out in the AHL.
Pieces of Forever is the first in the series and is set on Lake George, NY, except for Vivian's current location in Mountain Creek, New Hampshire.
Here's a little snippet from Pieces of Forever:
“You’re a thinker, aren’t you?” He reaches out for me, tugging me closer, tracing the back of his fingers down my jaw.
“Is that a bad thing?”
“I’m not used to being attracted to women who think.”
I can’t help the snort that escapes. “Do I take that as a compliment or an insult?”
There’s no mistaking his intention as he pushes himself off the truck and steps into my personal space. “If you have to ask, I haven’t been doing this very well.”
He touches my cheek with the tip of his finger, gently gliding it down my neck and across my collarbone. Chills of anticipation race through my body.
Kiss me.
As if reading my mind, Brody licks his lips and lowers his head, placing a soft kiss on my forehead.
Lower. I tilt my face to him and close my eyes, inviting him to welcome my lips with his.
Brody places his hands on my shoulders and draws me in…for a hug, placing another kiss on the top of my head.
A flipping hug and a forehead kiss? What the what?
My lips burn with desire. My body begs for more. But Brody moves away from me and opens the front door to his truck, the light blinding me momentarily.
“I should go before I—” Brody’s gaze drops to my mouth and he licks his lips again.
Before you what? Kiss me? Touch me? Yes, please!
“Saturday night. I’d like to take you out to dinner if you’re free.”
I blink the haze of lust from my eyes and nod. “I’m free.” I’m always free. As my brother would say, my social calendar is more open than a goalie’s legs during a slapshot.
Brody hops up into his truck and starts it. He rolls down the window and rests his arm on the door, giving me a long, leisurely stare down.
“And for the record, that was a compliment,” he says before driving away.
Happy reading!
