March. The dreaded never-ending month. It's loooong with no "holiday" breaks. The weather is crappy, at least in the northeast. And every year I kick off the month turning a year older. *sigh*

Last week, I pre-gamed my birthday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with my sisters. It. Was. Everything. The hotel upgraded to all-inclusive, and we took full advantage. Between the weather, (a gorgeous 78 degrees every day), fresh food, free-flowing cocktails, infinity pools, whale watching, stunning sunsets, and being with my sisters, it was the perfect way to end my forties.

On Saturday, March 2nd, I celebrated my 50th birthday with my husband, children (with a surprise visit from my college girl!), and my brother-in-law and his family. We stopped by my favorite local chocolate shop and threw some axes at The Axe Pit, followed by a lovely dinner. It was nice and chill.

I got everything I asked for: time with my family, sun and relaxation, time to read, and chocolate.
