What to do after an MPP edition ?

THE IMPORTANCE OF ... TAKING A STEP BACK

You have shown a lot of energy by completing 257,600 challenges during 3 weeks, and that is REALLY GREAT ! Here is some feedback from players who completed the form, and that's a real pleasure to read it!

Nevertheless, the impact of changes in individual behaviour (the essence of the MPP game) at its maximum would only be minor in the potential decrease of a country's total ecological footprint (difficult to give a precise number!). We recommend you this article from Bon Pote on the subject ! (use the translation module to read it in English :) )

In short, as you may have realised, the ecological transition on an individual level is necessary*, but it will not be enough to meet the stakes !

According to Aurélien Barreau, a committed French astrophysicist, the ecological issue is "the greatest challenge in the history of Humanity".

A massive and historic mobilisation will be necessary to meet the challenges !

And every tenth of a degree counts to limit consequences !

Every square metre preserved from land take is a victory in itself.

Do you remember the petition launched in 2021 by the French collective called "l'Affaire du siècle" (The Case of the Century), which saw the French state condemned for its climate inaction?

It's up to us (you + me + all those who want to) to get our companies, our communities, as well as all the economic and political "decision-makers" involved in this major project of social transition!

It's time to break the "triangle of inaction" in which citizens, businesses and public authorities pass the buck...

and to change it into a "mobilisation circle" in which each involved party encourages the others and lead them to the best.

We think that MPP has a real role to play in creating this circle with other ecosystem operators.

Finally, we would like to share this leading article from the media Bon Pote, which helps to take a step back from the objectives and the effectiveness of the so called "activist" mode of action. Each of you is free to form his/her own opinion and to choose his/her commitments to the planet.

*(If the citizens do not make their transition, then there is very little chance that other stakeholders make theirs because they will have little interest in it !)

NB: Do you know some teachers ? Suggest them to participate in the school MPP edition with their class(es) (from nursery to high school - available in english/spanish/german languages).
