What Your Father Didn't Teach You About Shaving
A Classic Italian Shave Soap (That Isn't Proraso)
Saponificio Varesino is a small Italian Artisan soap company that has been making soap since 1945. As you know, they are a new sponsor here at Sharpologist.
They sent me a sample of their Dolomiti shave soap for me to try.
This is a triple-milled shave soap, meaning extra processing has been done to make the soap puck harder and much longer-lasting (I don’t see too many triple-milled shave soaps these days; most of the artisan-made wet shaving soaps do not go through these extra steps). This shave soap should last you months and months of regular use.
I think Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti shave soap is a real “classic” product–a throwback to how quality shave soaps were made before the “modern” traditional wet shaving era.
Saponificio Varesino has generously donated a Dolomiti gift set (consisting of shave soap, after shave, shower soap and shower gel, worth over US $125) to give away as part of Sharpologist’s tenth anniversary!
