Ever seen someone operate a two-way radio? They press a little button on the microphone to engage the transmitter. It's known as a "push to talk" (PTT) microphone.

Ever used a "butterfly" safety razor that is opened by twisting a dial on the razor handle? That's known as a "twist to open" (TTO) razor.

I recently got a razor that is a mix of the two concepts...a "push to open" razor.
