Springtime Scents And Shaving

The arrival of spring means that the cold winter months are finally behind us. As the days grow warmer and the sun shines brighter, we begin to awaken our senses and enjoy the world around us. One of the best ways to do this is by noticing all of the wonderful smells that drift through the breezes.

I trawled around the wet shaving forums for comments specifically about shaving products shavers liked in the Spring. Here are some of the most commonly-mentioned ones (plus a couple of my own) along with their vendor/artisan descriptions.

Razors That Use Half Of A DE Blade?

I'm working on an article about "regular" razors that use half a DE blade (not the "barber straight" or "Shavette" style razors). The "obvious" ones are the Leaf and Twig razors (both reviewed on Sharpologist), the Focus Dynamic R48 and R50 razors (out of Italy), and the RMK Ergo razor.

Any others? Hit me up with a reply if you can help!

Styptic Pencils

A styptic pencil is a small, crayon (or perhaps more accurately classroom chalkboard chalk)-shaped product that is used to stop bleeding from small nicks and cuts. The styptic pencil is moistened and then applied to the nick or cut to help it clot and stop the bleeding.
