What is a “low profile” safety razor head, really? Is it just about how far the head sits off your face, or is there more beneath the smooth chrome? If you have trouble getting into those tight areas (like under the nose for me), take a look at this. Why The "Radio Silence?"

Back in May I announced that I had some liver trouble, and as part of the treatment I was told to drink black coffee, so I started Sharpologist's brother site, The Black Coffee Life. I figured my life would be getting back to normal and I would be back to posting on Sharpologist more often.

No such luck.

As it turned out my liver issue is more serious than first thought. According to my hepatologist (liver doctor) there isn't anything I can do to reverse the damage--the best I can do is keep it from getting worse. But there is a drug to reduce liver damage going through clinical trials that I might be qualified to participate in.

So I spent the last three months going through a battery of tests to see if I'm a candidate for the trial. Most of it has been out of town, so I haven't been able to devote as much time to Sharpologist as I had hoped.

Last week I was notified that I qualified for the study!

But now I have to take a day trip once a week to the doctor's office to get a shot. So I still won't have as much time as I'd like to devote to Sharpologist.

Eventually I'll be taught how to give the shot to myself so I won't have to travel nearly as often. But for now I'm shooting for one Sharpologist post per week, two if I can find the time.

I know y'all will understand. :)
