Romance Books and the Flu 🤧

Hi ,

Not to long ago I was writing to you from my scenic getaway in Hobart. The Romance Writers Australia conference was amazing and I've got all my fingers and toes crossed that I will be doing it again next year.

Since the conference, I've returned to the real world and picked up influenza A at work. Between fevers and body aches I'm pretty much bed bound this weekend, so if something in this newsletter doesn't make sense, blame the cold and flu meds.

Writing Updates

• Thanks to the RWA conference I was able to pitch to an agent and got a full manuscript request. I'm not expecting anything, but this is a huge next step for me.
• I wrote for the first time in ages! I'm working on a short story just to get the creative energy flowing again and will submit it into a competition later this year

Other Stuff

For the handful of people who read my newsletters for the animals, all my pets are doing well. Mowgli had his 4th birthday while I was away in Tasmania and he is finally learning how to cuddle without wriggling every 2 seconds.
